Will Simpson
A Gold Medalist of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Will Simpson was born in Springfield, Illinois on June 9, 1969. He took riding lessons at an early age along with his sister, but later spent time on the East Coast where he worked for Rodney Jenkins, a Show Jumping Hall of Famer. He set out on his own in California, where he has been based for 25 years and today makes his home in Thousand Oaks, California.
Will’s business is mostly based around riding, training and selling horses. He really likes starting young horses and enjoys the whole process of breaking them and getting them going in the show ring. Simpson has been active on the Grand Prix Circuit in California for almost two decades. He teaches a bit, but wants to reserve his teaching for a few years down the road when he won’t be riding quite as much. When he's not riding or training, he plays tennis and skis. Simpson is married to fellow accomplished hunter/jumper rider Nicole Shahinian-Simpson, and the couple has two kids.
