Robyn began riding when she was five, owned her first horse at eight, began Eventing at age ten and was Area VI Young Rider Champion for 1998. Robyn began her university studies at U.C. She moved to France at the end of 2000 to train with French Olympian, Jacques Dulcy in Avignon and competed all over Europe while there. In 2002, Robyn decided to finish her education at U.C. Davis and graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Equine Enterprise. Robyn continued competing while in school and was the top rider in California for 2003 at both the Intermediate and Advanced Levels.
In 2004, Robyn was long-listed for the Olympic Team. Robyn competed in the Rolex Kentucky **** in April 2005 and competed at the Eventing World Cup in Sweden in Fall 2005. Robyn trained with USET Coach Captain Mark Phillips in the United States Equestrian Federation team winter training sessions in 2005, 2006, and 2007. In 2006, Robyn and her mare, Lady Calido, won the CIC** at Galway Downs and the CCI** at Twin Rivers. In the Fall of 2006 Cali moved up to the Advance Level to finish as Area VI "Mare of the Year" and "Open Intermediate Horse of the Year." After a one year hiatus in the show jumping ring for Cali, Robyn returned her to Eventing in 2009, when she won the CCI** in the Event at Rebecca Farm and the CIC*** at Twin Rivers.
In 2007, Robyn moved to England for three months to compete and train her horses against the best riders in the world. After a successful spring, she moved home to Mill Creek where she continues to train horses and riders through the top level of competition, including the North American Young Riders Championship. Robyn currently is competing the stallion Clair de Lune owned by SE Farms. He has already shown great promise in the eventing world by winning the 2009 Spalding Lab s/USEA Young Event Horse 5 yr. old West Coast Championship.
"I can't even imagine how I successfully competed my horses before having the RevitaVet system in my barn. I first used the system almost a year ago after receiving a kick in the head. I was first in the CIC*** and was really worried that I wouldn't be OK to show jump the next morning! I used the RevitaVet system twice the night of the kick and the morning of. I had no symptoms of ever having been kicked. Just after the first treatment, the headache and the swelling reduced by almost 100% and I was able to show jump retaining my first place and win the CIC***.
Since that incident, I Have used the IR2 on my young rider intermediate horse's SI joint. She has chronic pain there and since using IR2, she is moving more freely and jumping more open behind. I also have used the system on a mare that got hung up trying to jump out of the stall. There was a 6 inch opening on her hind cannon bone. With just two treatments a day for one month, the wound has heeled completely and no scar tissue has developed. It's easy to use, light weight, and the horses don't even know they are being worked on. In fact I have noticed all my horses being more relaxed just minutes after putting the infrared pads on any area of their body. I've used it on hocks, stifles, open wounds, SI joints, backs and front tendons/suspensory. I am a believer that infrared light therapy works..... Not only do I spoil my horses all day with the system, but I come home and treat myself as well."
