Julie Wolfert
Julie Wolfert began riding since she was a young child, starting with western and then quickly making the transition to english. She started in the hunter/jumper and equitation rings then finally made the switch to Eventing in 2005.
Julie was a working student for top event rider Emily Beshear and has continued taking lesson from her for many years. She now runs her own training operation in Kansas at CHAPS Equestrian Center and has had much success with her partners Wondaree Merlin and Wondaree Barger.
Julie has had multiple wins at the Preliminary and Intermediate levels including Area IX Champion at the Intermediate and Preliminary level in 2008. The Following year she started off the year with a win in the Intermediate division at The Fork and made the move up to Advanced with Wondaree Merlin. The two had a great first outing at Fair Hill and then finished off the year with a 3rd at the 2009 American Eventing Championships at the Intermediate division. She was Area IV Rider of the year in 2009 as well as ranked 5th in the nation for overall Young Rider of the Year.
This year Julie's goals are to move Wondaree Barger up to Advanced and to go to a CCI* with her off the track thoroughbred Buenos Aires.
"Merlin took me from Training to Advanced and I believe he wouldn't of stayed sound without the RevitaVet Therapy system. He had a bone chip in his knee that lead to arthritis and with 15 minutes a day of infrared light, the inflammation in his knee would go down and Merlin would be sound and ready to go."
