James Alliston

JamesOriginally from Gloucestershire, England, James is a graduate of Oxford University in England. In England he worked with top trainers such as Andrew and Betina Hoy, as well as working for international show jumper John Mastin. James first came to the United States to work for Eventing legend Bruce Davidson. He ended up spending the majority of the next six years working to help produce and compete up through the advanced level for Davidson's Chesterland Farm and finished 2008 ranked 15th overall rider in the country. These valuable years left him with a wealth of experience in the competition arena on a great range and variety of horses. In the fall of 2009, James moved to Northern California to start up his own training program.

In his first year on the west coast his successes have included several wins at the advanced level, an Adequan Gold Cup Series Competition win as well as placing two horses in the top ten at the inaugural Galway Downs CCI3*. James also works to improve his show jumping skills by competing at jumper shows during the summer, and ended the year with a successful first Grand Prix appearance. James shares his knowledge and expertise with a large group of successful students who show with him in the west coast events. James continuously works to develop young horses as part of an ongoing venture with partner Graceland Equestrian Center to breed and produce his future mounts as well as maintain a high quality sales program.

"The RevitaVet infrared therapy system is an essential tool in the ongoing maintenance of all my horses. Along with maintenance, we also use it on horses with injuries and it has been phenomenal at reducing rehabilitation time and improving quality of healing. Personally, I have also seen its benefits when using it on my own aches and pains."
