Heather Morris
photo credit Foto XpressHeather Morris has been Assistant Trainer for Mike Huber at Gold Chip Stables in Texas since 2002. Heather represented California at the North American Young Rider Championships CCI** for the first time in 1998 and in 1999 bringing home the Team Gold Medal on her horse, Rebel Express.
Heather and Rebel continued their success, finishing 11th at the Foxhall CCI** in 2000 earning her the Markham Trophy for the highest placed young rider. Heather and Rebel competed successfully through the Advanced level and in 2004 took on the challenge of the Rolex Kentucky CCI****. After a heart problem occured on cross-country he is now retired from competition.
In 2006 Heather won the CCI* at Galway with Genial who was also the Preliminary Horse of the Year. Then in 2007 Genial won the CCI** at Galway again.. And then in 2008 he won the Colorado Horse Park CCI**. This year, Heather has won the CIC** on Slate River, both at Poplar Place and Weatherford.
