David Adamo

David AdamoOriginally from San Diego, CA, David started riding at the age of 6 and was introduced to Eventing at the age of sixteen through his local pony club. Three years later, in 1987, at the age of nineteen, David achieved his USPC HA and A ratings. While attending the University of California, Davis he was the captain of the UCD Eventing Team. During this time began developing his own teaching and training style working with the local Pony Clubs in the Davis area. He then went on to participate in the USPC traveling instructor program for two summers. In 1990 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Science and Management. From 2006- 2008 David was the United States Eventing Association Chairman for Area VI (California).

His primary training has been with former US equestrian elite athlete Brian Sabo. Other strong influences on his riding and training have come from work with Jimmy Wofford, Mark Phillips, Lilo Fore for dressage, and Anne Kursinski for show jumping. All of the above have represented and/or coached the United States Equestrian Team in international competition.

In 2008 David moved to Meadow Run Farm in Florence Alabama to base himself for competition in the eastern U.S. as he aspires to represent the United States in the Olympics and other international events. He currently has three very nice prospects in his own Prince Noah, River King owned by the ABC Syndicate, and Marveles owned by Mike and Marion Martin. Prince Noah competed successfully in his first international level competition in November 2009 and is poised to make a bid for spots on the 2011 Pan American games team and the 2012 London Olympic squad. River King and Marveles are coming up right behind him.

After very successful seasons in 2009 and early 2010, David, Prince Noah and River King were invited to join an elite group of the top east coast horses to fly west to Montana to compete in a World Cup Qualifying competition. Prince Noah and David finished 3rd behind multi Olympic medalist Karen O' Connor. River King finished 11th in his first ever international level competition. As a result, David and Prince Noah were "long listed" for the US Equestrian Team.

Prince Noah ended 2010 with a phenomenal performance at the Fair Hill International Event in Maryland. This competition serves as the fall national championship for in Eventing. Based on the results Fair Hill, talent scouts for the US Team nominated David and Prince Noah to Olympic Developing Rider's list, the next step on the journey to making the Olympic team in 2012. To close out the year, David and River King had a big win at the Midsouth Team Challenge in Lexington KY.

"My first experience with the Revitavet Therapy System was on myself. A week before the American Eventing Championships a young horse slipped, fell on me, and pulled my right groin muscle. Any rider who has experienced this injury knows how serious it can be and how long it can take to heal. I assumed I would have to scratch my three horses from the upcoming competition. I was offered a chance to try the Revitavet light therapy so I gave it a try. Each day my leg felt a little better. After three days I was able to do dressage, and in 7 days I was able to jump again without any pain whatsoever. I repeat, if you have ever had a groin injury before, you know that this was a much more rapid recovery than the standard ice and NSAID therapy you would normally use for a muscle injury.

Having felt the results I began using the Revitavet lights on my horses. After one treatment they were freer in their backs, more swinging in their gaits, and rounder and straighter in their bascules over the jumps. I now use the system in conjunction with my equine massage therapist. She finds the trouble spots when she works on the horses. In between massage sessions, I use the Revitavet on those spots. I have consistently found that the next time the masseuse works on the horses, those spots are no longer problem areas. I am sold!!"
