Buck Davidson
The Davidson name is legendary in the eventing world and Buck has focused on following in his father Bruce’s footsteps, an Olympic medalist and veteran. Though much of his younger years he was primarily interested in baseball, a sports related injury changed his focus. Always a rider, Buck began his career as a fox hunter and timber racer.
Buck has an impressive history as a young rider. He has won the Markham Trophy as the highest placing Young Rider in a USET Championship three times, and was the 1996 Young Rider of the Year. In 1997, he won individual Bronze and team Silver Medals at the North American Young Riders’ Championships.
In his four star debut in 1998, he placed sixth at the Rolex Kentucky aboard Trans Am A Flirt. The two following years with Pajama Game, the Morgan-cross that many felt would never be able to compete on an international level, he placed tenth and then fourth in the Rolex Kentucky. Also in 1999, he and Pajama Game were part of the U.S. team in the Pan American games that finished seventh.
Buck finished ninth at the Cosequin/USET 2000 Olympic Games Eventing Mandatory Short List Outing at Foxhall Farm and fifteenth at 2000 Rolex Kentucky CCI****. His second place finish at the Bromont Three-Day Event CCI**, third at the 1999 Rolex Kentucky CCI***, seventh at the 1999 Fair Hill International CCI***, and seventh at the 1999 Pan American Games created an impressive resume for a young but not untested competitor.

Since importing BallyNoe Castle RM or Reggie as he is called as a young horse, Buck has always maintained that he is all class. In 2008, Buck’s faith in the horse was rewarded with an immaculate performance at the CCI*** at Jersey Fresh where they were second. Reggie also went to Hong Kong for the Olympic Test Event in 2007 after he was second and fourth at the Jersey Fresh CCI** and the Florida CCI** respectively. He also won the CIC** at Red Hills Horse Trials.
In 2009 Buck had his best season to date, winning horse trials at every level and collecting a number of strong finishes at three-days. With My Boy Bobby, Buck won advanced divisions at Rocking Horse and Southern Pines, in addition to two CIC*** wins at The Fork and Wits End. In the spring Buck and My Boy Bobby were third at the CCI**** at Rolex, as well as the top placed American. My Boy Bobby finished off his 2009 campaign by representing the US at the HSBC FEI World Cup Final, and Buck was nominated the Chronicle of the Horse’s 2009 Eventing Horseman of the Year.
"The RevitaVet system is absolutely amazing at getting rid of bumps and bruises. In just a few treatments a big knee went back to normal after months of trying with other techniques. This is not like the other machines."
